‘Goni’ wins at Jackson Wild Media Awards 2023.

‘Goni’ a film produced by Untamed Planet and Drik Picture Library has won an award at the prestigious Jackson Wild Media Awards 2023 in the Global Voices category.

About the film.

The film, directed by Malaika Vaz, follows award winning Bangladeshi photo journalist Abdul Goni as he narrates the story of migrant workers from Bangladesh, and the construction of the stadiums and infrastructure for the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, where reportedly over 5000 workers from around the world lost their lives.

The film was edited and graded by Canopy’s Aalok Padhye, sound design and foley done by Tanmay Bhattacherjee, and audio mix done by Drona Acharya.
