The follow up to the critically acclaimed LSD by director Dibakar Banerjee. We worked closely with the director and the post production team, to deliver a compelling original soundtrack, original songs and footage required for the movie.

Project Summary
Director’s Note - LSD2 is about the complexities of modern relationships and self-discovery in the high-tech age are explored through interconnected stories of love, friendship, and identity.
Canopy’s Tanmay Bhattacherjee along with frequent musical collaborator Nirmit Shah composed the original background score, and two songs including the end credits theme ‘Main Khush Hoon’. The director wanted a “scavenged, hurried, anxious soundtrack that felt as though it had been composed overnight.”
We had to compose genre appropriate ‘themes’ for the various distinct characters and influencers that appear throughout the movie.
We had to score the soundtrack for a reality TV show in the movie, and also had to score various news idents, meme style themes, 8 bit themes and video game music, besides the regulation orchestral background score. The variety of the material was a fun challenge!
Canopy’s Drona Acharya was the primary dialogue mixer, and Re-Recording Mixer for the film.
He created the soundtrack for the film along with sound designer Tanmay Bhattacherjee and foley artist Prashant Dogra.
The sound challenge was to understand the various perspectives and treatments in the film - there is a lot of VR, video calls, video game style sequences, cheaply produced reality TV and news segments. Each scenario had to sound ‘correct’ to match the style of the in movie production.
Our video team was engaged to shoot various additional sequences that were required for the film, including fake online streamers and recreation of iconic memes that were used in the film.
The post workflow was coordinated by our executive producers Ritwik Palnitkar and Aalok Padhye.
